It has taken many years to develop my IT skills, which began way back in the DOS days. I have always had an interest in computers and when the home computer market took off I was right there. If I recall, my first computer was a Commodore +4, £99 from one the high street stores. Lots of fun playing and trying my hand at coding.
These days it all about PC’s, Macs and Linux.·Linux over the last few years has been making strides in  against Microsoft’s market share. Regardless of the platform you choose, their will be argument for it’s use.
To ensure I could rise to any challenge I dragged myself, initially back to college, but then onto University. Unfortunately, although I gained the necessary qualifications, academia does’t always prepare you for the real world. It’s only when you have a project to do, you begin to learn. The Internet is a source of excellent information and when a problem arises and I am unable to resolve it, I consult the net.
